Orange County Labiaplasty

Reduce Unwanted Skin in the Labia Minora or Labia Majora

For patients who want to decrease the size of their labia minora or labia majora, a labiaplasty procedure is the most appropriate treatment.  The labia minora consists of inner layers of skin under the vaginal area.   The labia majora can be found on the outer folds of the region.

Each patient may have a unique labia depending on shape, size, and color.  The labia minora can be hidden under the labia majora or be more prominent if they are in larger size. The size and features of the labia majora and minora are affected by factors such as aging or childbirth.

Labiaplasty can help eliminate unwanted excess skin from the labia minora or labia majora.  Dr. Poucher utilizes surgical techniques in her Orange County labiaplasty treatments that adjust to your unique medical needs or physical condition.  The incisions are created along the length of each labia.  If there is bleeding, dissolvable sutures will be provided.  These sutures can be removed 7-10 days following the surgery.

After the procedure, there may be discomfort in the genital area.  Pain medications are available to treat and minimize discomfort.  The incision area may be highly sensitive, it is recommended to avoid any intense physical activity until cleared by the doctor.  Additional visits can be schedule to track the progress of the healing and results.
